I had the same problem with a TSX3721.
(However the port on PLC is a RS485).
After i had configurated in the hardware form
the protocol from Unitelway in MODBUS,
i received your same chars.
I phoned italian assistance, but they told me that
it needs to make a harware modify over a pin
of the cable.
In fact there is a electric signal harware that
forces the port to communicate on Unitelway, so
the PLC can turn in programmation modality.:-|

ťI\'m trying to communicate with Micro 3722 by Modbus as slave but I get an error message. Tell me please how can I make the pin change that you say.

Regards.

I have used the TSX PCX 1031 cable instead of TSX PCX 1030.
It is a multifunction communication cable with a swich to
change the mode.
The position 2 of switch  forces the terminal port in master mode,
protocol by default (it is Uni-telway).
Position 3 serves for other type of communication defined by PLC
configuration (modbus). The port is in slave mode.
